Featured Local Artists
We rotate artists' work in our shop, and at times have select pieces available on consignment. Each time a new artist comes in, we have a reception for the opening, and it is a great time to come out to mingle, and meet fellow artists and art enthusiasts. Most of the art we feature contains Florida landscapes and wildlife, and many of the artists have been influenced by the Florida landscape artist, A.E. "Beanie" Backus.
We always have some mosaic pieces by the amazingly talented Anita Prentice in the shop. Consignment pieces vary, often including paintings by well known local artists like Jackie Brice, George Rowe, Jackie Schindehette and the original Highwaymen.

Rosalie Arnold
Rosalie Arnold initially found her passion for painting while spending time with A.E. Backus in her youth. He recognized her talent, and even encouraged her to pursue a formal education and career in art. Instead she stayed in Ft. Pierce and worked at the family business, Sweets Jewelers. She never lost her love for painting, and at the age of 82 she decided to take it up again.
